Celebration of Hope – Safe Haven Ministries

This spring 2019, Safe Haven Ministries joined together for a Celebration of Hope event in downtown Grand Rapids at the JW Marriott! They celebrated the successes of their residents, created greater awareness for Safe Haven’s programs, and shared the educational impact they have had on domestic violence in our community.

Guests who attended the event got to take part in a networking reception, strolling dinner, and listen to a national speaker and GVSU student named Riley Juntti. Her story, as a domestic violence survivor, was an inspiration to everyone who heard it.

       

Thanks to all the efforts of those who planned the event, prayed for Safe Haven, and donated, they were able to raise $66,795 in one night! This exceeded their matching $40,000 gift which was provided by six of their dedicated partners. Between what they raised at the event, generous donations from their partners, and pre-event gifts, Safe Haven was able to raise a total of $162,665! All of this will directly serve the life-saving programs provided by Safe Haven to the West Michigan community.
